Sports All ages? Walking

Difficult finding the right sport? Not to worry. Try exercise walking. Secured, sports that do not use many of these costs can provide benefits.

Based on the results of research in Ireland, given effect by doing exercise brisk walking (Brisk walking) for 30 minutes in five times a week, will affect the fitness and cardiovascular risk in adults aged 50-65 years who rarely exercise.

The study, which took 12 weeks conducted on 31 participants, divided into two groups: 21 people for group runs, and 10 people as a group controller. Before and after the research conducted, measured participants' fitness level, blood pressure, blood lipids, body mass index, and hip circumference.

The results showed the group walked seen an increase fitness and decrease blood pressure and stroke risk is significant. This then convince the investigators that by doing brisk walking, adults aged 50-65 years, able to decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease and improve cardiovascular fitness.
